Checking is carried out for home medications as well as medications that appear on flowsheets (referred to "administration medications"). Potential interactions are shown to users in the following ways:
On flowsheets, an icon appears next to the name of any medication with a potential interaction. The user can hover the mouse above the name to see details.
The Potential Interactions icon on the Patient Information Band changes color. The user can click the icon to see details in the Interactions window.
