My name is Patricia, I'm 31 and I currently live in Central Portugal. I developed a passion for the English language from the very early age of 8, but only very recently have I realised my true vocation.

My first contact with translation happened at school. I was introduced to the subject of "translation techniques" and their challenges, and soon I realised the difficulties behind translation. In 2006, I completed a BA in History, but a two-year professional experience in the UK and speaking English at home for nearly 8 years have enabled me to achieve a level of proficiency (Un. Cambridge CPE) and have given me the confidence to offer translation services for a wide range of clients, from academics to restaurants owners, on a professional level.

I am continuously seeking improvement, through formal and informal training, and looking for new areas of development and specialisation in both languages. I am currently doing an MA in Translation at the University of Coimbra.
