Does anyone know what a "tiplet" is, in relation to birds?
I have: Tiplets, flights,
tumblers (colombes)nuns (pigeons, apparently).
I've searched even in specialist dics, online and off, without any luck.
Thanks

I've done work like this before and its really terrible how local terms can be conflicting. Since mine was for a natural science exhibition, I requested the client to furnish the Latin names, and from there on all I needed was an ornithological handbook.

Comment: "Thanks. I wrote to you previously I think. It turns out that the word was actually "tipler" not "tiplet""
