At the beginning of February, the Japanese equity market fell as institutional investors sold stocks for profit taking. However the Japanese equity market turned positive due to reasons such as the steady tone in the foreign equity markets or the slow down of the yen appreciation. With reference to sectors, we saw the positive movement in air transport, miscellaneous finance and real estate. On the other hand, machinery, chemicals and pulp & paper under-performed. Concerning the markets, Tokyo small cap performed unlike JASDAQ stocks as the market looked for **low-PBR equity** and low price equity. Our fund did not meet this market trend, and some of the holdings suffered due to demand/supply concern after the announcement of new issues. Another reason for the underperformance is the downside revision in some of our holdings.
