I got it ! Thank you very much . Now I got how to find what I am looking for. I guess I should first try "Indo-European>Indo-European" for the word and then maybe later, "Portuguese>Portuguese".

I think in order to prevent other users to be confused with my notes and previous questions, it is better to omit them. Could you please do it (if you think it is necessary)?

If you want to know the origin of the Portuguese word "pantufas" the question should be asked in the pair Portuguese>Portuguese. If you want to know the origin of the word "slippers" in English you should ask the question in the pair English>English.
