Sorry. Since the work asked refers to pumps (recalque, as in Portuguese 'bomba de recalque'), I chose the Spanish word "impelente" as suggested by another collaborator. That's why I declined 'compactado'(I thought that the declination was self-explanatory in function of the field of application). If "compactado" is the correct word in this case, please give me more details. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
