Piesele săseşti de mobilier pictat (coastănul, patul, fereastra oarbă) au preluat unele elemente decorative şi din ciopliturile în lemn: “atica” (coada cocoşului) aplicată la decorarea cornişei, pe când unele buchete de flori pictate se înrudesc cu cele cioplite pe stâlpii de poartă, ori cu cele brodate pe ştergare sau căpătâie de pernă. Dintre uneltele legate de industria casnică textilă cele mai interesante ca formă şi decor sunt: războiul de ţesut, furcile de tors şi îndreptarele pentru pânză, vârtelniţele, sucalele şi suveicile.
