After establishing myself as a translator, initially in-house and specializing in patent work on mechancial and civil engineering subjects, I became a freelancer as I combined translation and bilingual lexicography work. The latter won out and I spent 17 years working for dictionary publishers Larousse and Chambers Harrap. I compiled, translated, edited and project-managed numerous dictionaries, most notably the Harrap's Unabridged French-English Dictionary, of which I was Editor-in-Chief.
Since 2010 I have been offering translation and localization services under the company name Wordbox and have undertaken, inter alia: translations of French corporate websites, translations from French of e-learning material and associated marketing documentation, patent translations from German and French, translations for French museums and galleries.
