Five years working as an English Language Assistant with several responsibilities:

Ø Create the lesson plans that employ visual and auditory approaches that are interesting and interactive for the students to improve their conversational skills.

Ø Co-teach and collaborated with other colleagues to meet quarterly and yearly educational goals. 

Ø To challenge and emphasize the correction of English grammatical errors in reading, writing and speaking.

Ø Carry out listening sessions primarily by reading English texts and stories.

Ø Emphasize vocabulary in other subjects taught in English (Art, Music, Biology, Geography and History)

Ø Be a cultural ambassador by sharing different aspects of my culture as well as that of other English-speaking countries in class. 

I served as the Secretary at Red Cross USIU-Africa Chapter, Nairobi, Kenya and St. John Ambulance Divisional Officer, Nairobi, Kenya.

ØMy responsibilities included planning, preparing meeting agendas and coordinating the meetings. It included taking in-depth notes and disseminating minutes to all attendees.

 Carrying out first aid training sessions for adults and high school students. Took part in community service and outreach programs. 

ØContributed in creating a calender of events, programs, an action plan, and wrote to various institutions to collaborate.

Bachelor of Arts in International Relations - United States International University (USIU-Africa) in 2019.

International Experience

Rwanda field trip and research project: 

I got the chance as an International Relations student with a concentration in Peace and Conflict to observe and analyse the effects and consequences the genocide presented as well as understand the reconciliation process and the challenges that come with it.

Poland Angloville Summer mentoring  program:

Volunteered with the Angloville Summer Program in Poland as a language facilitator and mentor. Had the opportunity while there to interact with people from different cultural backgrounds. 

I have also visited: Portugal, France, Uganda, Denmark, and the USA.
