for / for the benefit of / in behalf of / on the behalf of

Explanation:
The correctbtranslation is " for the benefit of", but I very often shorten that to a plaion "for", as it reads better in some contexts.

In legal and more formal texts the "on the behalf of" would be correcter.

doubts about the use of ten behoeve van

Explanation:
Hi,

I agree with Words that "on the behalf of" would be a correct translation of "ten behoeve van" but I have some doubts about the use of "ten behoeve van" in this phrase, it doesn't make much sense to me... I wonder if the phrase shouldn't read:

Tevens speelt de bij de Class A en B Partner DGF B.V. liggende bewijslast terzake van de afdracht in 1998 een rol.

in which case the translation should be:
the burden of proof lying with the Class A and B... etc.

for the purpose of , for the benefit of , in behalf of

Explanation:
Bewijslast =
onus, burden, onus of proof, burden of proof, onus probandi.

Afdracht =
payment --> contribution, dues ; [opbrengst] receipts, takings.

Also the burden/ onus of proof for the purpose of (the) Class A and B Partner B.V. relating to/ regarding the payment in 1998 plays a role.

Burden of proof

Explanation:
" The burden of proof for the Class A and B Partner DGF BV for the transfer in 1998 plays a part as well."

in my nevr t be humble opinion, this is the correct translation.
