English term or phrase: Thinsection PCR
PCR= reacción en cadena de la polimerasa...

Necesito saber como traducir "Thinsection PCR" al castellano. Es una prueba diagnóstica que se está usando para identificar el virus del papiloma humano. No tengo más contexto que eso.

Gracias!

Spanish translation:La Prueba de Reaccion de Polimerizacion (PCR)
Explanation:
In Spanish, Polymerase Chain Reaction, or PCR, is known as la prueba de reacción de polimerización. However, the English acronymn PCR is retained. Meanwhile, the Thinsection form of the PCR test can be translated exactly into Spanish: "Seccion Fina." Glad to have helped.

Explanation:
Given that this is a scientific technique that has been around for ages, you could perfectly reasonably leave it in English: otherwise as above.

There is an interesting website on PCR at:
www.highveld.com/pcr.html

Thin section is a sampling technique as opposed to "core sample", "paraffin section" and is used in many scientific disciplines: medicine, geology, etc. and is translated as above.

But I am not a doctor!...
