Debitor(ennummer)

English translation: customer identity number (code)

German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / banking
German term or phrase: Debitor(ennummer)
Is it standard to translate this as "customer (number)" - or would one say "debtor"??

"in einer Tabelle werden alle erkannten Kombinationen von Debitorennummer und Bankkontonummer des Debitors gespeichert; d.h. zahlt der selbe Kunde wieder eine Rechnung und weder Kunden- noch Rechnungsnummer sind eindeutig, kann XXXX aus der gespeicherten Bankkontonummer
schon Rückschlüsse auf den Debitor ziehen und diesen bereits richtig zuordnen."

Thanks again.

Explanation:
This sounds a bit more english I guess. I would not use "debtor" here. But this is pure sense. It just does not sound.

borrower number

Explanation:
A bit difficult to use customer number if you've already got Kundennummer.

If you're a debtor, you have to be a borrower, it just sounds a bit more friendly!
