discrepancy Explanation: It looks as if "squadratura" here means a "failure to balance" ("quadrare") of the automatic calculation involved. "Imbalance" doesn't sound right for at least some of the cases you list so perhaps you could use "discrepancy", "inconsistency/inconsistent", or "anomaly/anomalous". HTH Giles |
