I know what a 'handske, is:
A connector mounted at the end of a cable, to be inserted into a socket, male or female, to establish a connection.
If 'handske' is 'glove' I have not been able to prove anywhere (Norstedt, Engström, Google) so you will have to decide, but I think connector is quite a good translation.
