Discussion

Tony M Sep 1, 2008:
Cable code = treat as proper noun I don't think it much matters what (if anything) it actually stands for: this is simply the code for a particular type of cable, and as such, should be treated like any other proper noun, and not 'translated'

YMVKAS cable

http://kabelberekening.bbnl.nl/kabelberekening.html
A Dutch site with info in German and English. They have a HELPDESK, perhaps you can ask them for its meaning.

It seems to be used for underground cabling.

YMvKas underground cables
This cable is used particularly for installation in the ground. The armoring is suitable for use as protection line (earthling line).
