Overview:
These Guidelines apply to any ***marketing claim*** about the attributes of electricity products or companies connected with the generation, distribution or sale of electricity. The claims covered may appear in labeling, advertising, promotional materials, or any other form of marketing, whether asserted directly or by implication, through words, symbols, logos, certifications, depictions, company or product names, or through any other means.

『本ガイドラインは、電気の特性ないしは発電、配電ならびに電力販売に関係する企業のすべてのマーケティングにおける訴求（marketing claim）に適用される。対象となる訴求活動は、言葉、シンボル、ロゴ、証書、絵、会社または製品の名称、その他のあらゆるラベリング、広告、販売促進物品等の形態が含まれる。これらの訴求行動は、印刷物や放送、電子メディアなど数多くの媒体において認識することができる。』
