es geht hier um die Beschreibung des Pavillons der Königin Johanna 1581 in Les Baux, ein Renaissancebau.

"Architecture d'agrément" kann ich nicht finden, habe irgendwo einen Zusammenhang mit "Regency architecture" gelesen, aber das war doch viel später.

"architecture" kann man je nach Kontext auch mit Bau, Gebäude o.ä. übersetzen. Hier handelt es sich also nach meiner Interpretation um ein Bauwerk, das zur Zierde dient. Deshalb mein Vorschlag: "Dieser Renaissancebau mit rein schmückender Funktion zierte einen Garten."
