Από τη στιγμή που θέλουμε να διαφοροποιηθούμε στην προσφορά μας ως επαγγελματίες, ή ως ενεργά μέλη μιας κοινωνίας, είμαστε υποχρεωμένοι να δώσουμε αξία και νόημα στη δουλειά μας ή στον ρόλο μας, όσο και αν αυτά θεωρούνται μικρής σημασίας για οποιονδήποτε. Από τη στιγμή που αποτελούμε μέλος μιας ομάδας, ή μιας παραγωγικής αλυσίδας, έχουμε ίση σπουδαιότητα με οποιονδήποτε άλλο κρίκο της αλυσίδας αυτής. Πλέον δε αυτού, από τη στιγμή που δίνουμε νόημα σ’ αυτό που προσφέρουμε, είναι σαφές, ότι η ανταμοιβή από την ίδια την εργασία, θα είναι σημαντική και θα μας δίνει τη δύναμη της εξέλιξης. Stand out vs. excel Regarding Kyriacos' question, "excel" is certainly in line with the meaning of "stand out", but it's not the same. Of course, "stand out" is related to "outstanding", but here I think the meaning is more like "being more noticeable than those around it".

Opposite Excuse me, but in this context, "opt out" means almost the opposite of "stand out". The former means to decline to play a role, whereas the latter means to play a prominent role.
