tempietto est génèralement utilisé pour désigné un temple rond à colonnes (l'archétype est le tempietto de Bramante à Rome)
Ici il s'agit sans doute d'un élément décoratif qui surmonte le médaillier, une sorte de kiosque/pavillon rond à colonnes sans "cella".
Le therme architectural qui s'en rapproche le plus à mon avis est tholos comme ici (inutile de préciser à colonnes ou circulaire, c'est pléonastique!):
