Me parece bien que los usuarios de este site expresen su opinión, pero hay que utilizar más que un diccionario para encontrar las respuestas sobre todo si se trata de terminología específica y utilizada por profesionales. En este caso yo me baso en fuentes en el idioma original y en mi experiencia. El hilado o enhebrado de las suturas se denomina "BRAID". Los hilos de sutura, "strings", se manufacturan trenzando o enhebrando diminutos filamentos de materiales biológicamente inertes. Por eso se les llama "braided string sutures". Saludos a mis colegas....
