kojic acid

I found 7 sites for "kojico acid" in **English**, when doing a Google search, but they were all the "English language" (+/-) pages of Italian and Hispanic sites.

What I do find, when doing a search limited to English for "skin whitening creams" + "acid" is "kojic acid." This appears to be a standard ingredient in such cosmetic products.

I get 1,400 hits on Google for "kojic acid"

Kojic...o acid

Hi again. Ybroad is right: "Kojic acid" or "kojic acid" is widely used. Note though that Kojico is a Japanese name/term. It has been anglicised by dropping the "o" so it can end in -ic like many other chemicals. I like leaving original names as they are (would you say Robert Benigni?) but then c'est moi and the wide usage of "kojic" gives me H-pie too. Link 1 shows all the exposed above, even the o-less Kojic rendering: "Kojic acid was discovered in Japan in 1989. It is a natural product derived form a fungus". The choice (and the style) is yours. Good luck to you and regards to Yolanda :-))

Re: Who is Yolanda?

Hello, María Elena Taggart,

Actually, Paul Roigé is simply referring to me by my first name: my full name is Yolanda Broad, which is, in abbreviated form, what my e-mail address stands for: y (Yolanda) broad.

Also, pleased to meet you (I just looked at your ProZ profile to "meet" you)! And, believe it or not, I have actually gone on to meet some other ProZ folks in the flesh, too. Maybe we'll run into each other in the non-virtual world, too. There are some really fine people associated with this community!

Best regards and happy translating,

Yolanda
