Vertaling - Engels Building elements of the BIPV technology
Title III of Ministerial Decree of May 5 2011, known more simply as the IV Feed-in Tariff, specifically concerns photovoltaic plants integrated architecturally with innovative characteristics (BIPV). Laws in force make a difference between this type of plant and traditional photovoltaic ones, for what concerns both rules applied and entity of subsidies paid.
BIPV technology contains a number of different solutions, but all with a common denominator: they replace traditional building elements. In theory, each building element, outside the building, can be replaced by an equivalent photovoltaic one, certified or certifiable in compliance with CEI EN 61215 and CEI EN 61646 standards. In particular, the law divides BIPV into special photovoltaic module and special photovoltaic component. The former differs from the standard photovoltaic module as, besides holding certification required by law, it is a real, unitary building product and cannot be separated from its parts, commercially identifiable. A complete industrial product containing certified photovoltaic elements. Whereas the special component is a technological kit containing not just the photovoltaic module, but the entire assembly system, components, accessories. Besides producing electricity, both have fundamental architectural functions. They regulate and protect the building thermally, protect it against water (waterproofing) and mechanically (mechanical protection).
