About Me
I am a ProZ.com Certified PRO Network member and a full-time English → Brazilian Portuguese translator, reviewer, and localization specialist with over 18 years of professional experience and more than 8 million words translated and localized.
My main areas of expertise are technology and IT, software and UI localization, SaaS, websites and apps, marketing, AI-related content, corporate and HR content, tourism and travel, finance/fintech, and technical documentation.
Throughout my career, I have worked on long-term localization programs for international companies and translation agencies, providing translation, localization, MT post-editing (MTPE), linguistic review, proofreading, QA/LQA, and terminology management.
A significant part of my work involves technology-enabled and AI-assisted localization workflows. I regularly review machine- and AI-generated translations, ensuring that the final content is accurate, natural, culturally appropriate, and consistent with client-specific glossaries, terminology databases, translation memories, and style guides.
I have extensive experience in software, website, app, and user interface localization, with more than 5 million words of IT and web-related content translated throughout my career. One publicly available example of my work is uTalk, whose entire website and app I localized into Brazilian Portuguese.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and have additional professional training in localization, translation, contracts, and language revision. I also lived in the UK for 18 months, where I studied and obtained the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) while gaining valuable experience working closely with native English speakers.
My goal is to deliver Brazilian Portuguese that sounds as though it was originally written for the Brazilian audience, while preserving the meaning, terminology, tone, and purpose of the source content.
