I am a Finnish translator/interpreter qualified at ”Turku Language Institute” – one of the four institutes in Finland for training translators and interpreters. The training included commercial, political technical, legal, medical and literary translations.
After concluding my studies in Finland, I spent two years studying in England where I did occasional freelance translating. The following years I worked in Finland as a translator/interpreter in an engineering firm, and later as a secretary at the Foreign Office. I also did some translating at home.
I have been living in Italy for 27 years. Here I have worked as a freelance translator in Italian, English and Finnish. My work has consisted mainly of technical manuals, but I have also translated documents for the European Parliament, commercial, medical and legal texts, as well as short stories for a publishing house.
I use a computer with Windows Millenium / Word 2000.
