I’m a 36-year-old translator from Sastamala, Finland. I’m a native Finnish speaker, born and raised in Finland. I have completed my Master's degree in 2006 in the Savonlinna School of Translation Studies, which is a part of University of Joensuu. My major subject is English, and as a minor subject I have, among others, completed the basic studies of Audiovisual Communication for Translators and Interpreters with the highest grade.
I have registered my own one-woman-business in February 2006, and I have been doing AV translations since December 2005. At the moment, I do mainly AV translations and proofreading for major subtitling companies. In addition, I translate manuals for consumer electronics and household appliances, and I have extensive experience regarding poker/gaming translations. I am a member of The Finnish Association of Translators and Interpreters (AV and Document translators’ sections).
