English to Chinese: 《暮光四——破晓》片段 General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English He was faster than me. I couldn't imagine how he moved his legs with such blinding speed, but it wasbeyond me. However, I was stronger, and every stride of mine matched the length of three of his. Andso I flew with him through the living green web, by his side, not following at all. As I ran, I couldn't helplaughing quietly at the thrill of it; the laughter neither slowed me nor upset my focus.
I could finally understand why Edward never hit the trees when he ran—a question that had always beena mystery to me. It was a peculiar sensation, the balance between the speed and the clarity. For, while Irocketed over, under, and through the thick jade maze at a rate that should have reduced everythingaround me to a streaky green blur, I could plainly see each tiny leaf on all the small branches of everyinsignificant shrub that I passed.
The wind of my speed blew my hair and my torn dress out behind me, and, though I knew it shouldn't, itfelt warm against my skin. Just as the rough forest floor shouldn't feel like velvet beneath my bare soles, and the limbs that whipped against my skin shouldn't feel like caressing feathers.
The forest was much more alive than I'd ever known—small creatures whose existence I'd neverguessed at teemed in the leaves around me. They all grew silent after we passed, their breath quickeningin fear. The animals had a much wiser reaction to our scent than humans seemed to. Certainly, it'd hadthe opposite effect on me.
I kept waiting to feel winded, but my breath came effortlessly. I waited for the burn to begin in mymuscles, but my strength only seemed to increase as I grew accustomed to my stride. My leaping boundsstretched longer, and soon he was trying to keep up with me. I laughed again, exultant, when I heard himfalling behind. My naked feet touched the ground so infrequently now it felt more like flying than running.
Translation - Chinese

Source text - English Lunch Hack: How to Utilize Your Work Kitchenette
We all know the benefits of brown bagging your lunch.
They tend to be healthier, cheaper and more delicious than buying your lunch.
But it can feel like hard work at times. With all that extra planning, it’s easy to see why most of us don’t do it as much as we’d like.
There is a solution, however and it doesn’t involve being more disciplined or getting up 10 minutes earlier.
Why not ‘cook’ your lunch at work?
That way you can still save money and do your health a favor.
And it’s a great chance to de-stress a little while you focus on making yourself something delicious.
Most offices have some sort of kitchenette with at least a sink and a microwave.
So why not make the most of them and get creative with soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps.
How to turn your office into a lunch time kitchen
1. Stock a work ‘pantry’.
Dedicate a small shelf or a drawer to lunch things and kit it out with the basics. At the very least some salt and maybe a little disposable pepper grinder. Although I’d also include some olive oil and vinegar so you’re always prepared for an impromptu salad. A packet of dried chilli seasoning and your favorite spice are also great to have on hand.
A little bag of nuts can also double as a snack. You could even get super organized with cans of tuna, chickpeas, beans or other good shelf-stable essentials.
2. Equip yourself with some basic tools.
Depending on your work set-up, you might like to include a little chopping board and a pocket knife in your work lunch arsenal. If cutlery and crockery are scarce it might be a good idea to get a little lunch bowl and fork or spoon.
3. Find the best storage solution.
Most workplaces provide a fridge you can store your lunch. But if not, consider investing in a little chiller bag. Or if you have access to a good food shop nearby, maybe allow time to pick up whatever you need in your lunch hour.
4. Allocate the time you need.
Cooking or preparing food is a great way to unwind. So schedule your lunch break for a little cooking relaxation, even if you’re only doing it once a week.
5. Engage your co workers.
Take it to the next level and organise your co workers to take turns in ‘cooking’ lunch for each other. Who knows, lunch at work might actually become fun!

Source text - English What is a pearl? Scientifically speaking, a pearl is formed naturally when an irritant—a grain of sand, for example—gets trapped inside the thin tissue of a mollusk's inner shell. To protect itself, the mollusk releases a substance called nacre, which attaches to the intruder and forms a smooth, hard layer around it. As more nacre is released over time, the layers accumulate, creating a pearl.
So-called "cultured" pearls are formed in the same way, except the irritant is purposefully placed inside the mollusk. Ninety-nine percent of pearls sold today are cultured.
No two pearls are alike. But to glance at an exceptional strand—in which all of the pearls seem identical in shape, size and color—you'd never guess it. Nacre can range in color from white to black, while size varies from the tiniest bead to some South Sea pearls that boast widths the size of a quarter.
Pearls Of Wisdom
You can save a lot of shopping time and confusion by knowing what to look for. Your first key in determining a high-quality pearl is its luster—the way a pearl seems to glow from within as well as the way light plays over its surface. A high-luster pearl will have strong, sharp reflections of light, and a remarkable contrast between the bright and dark areas on its surface. These pearls are not always easy to find, but are worth searching for. A good test: Can you see your reflection in the pearl? How clearly? A low-luster pearl will have a milky, chalky surface (almost like a bead) with very little reflection. A highly lustrous pearl, by contrast, plays with the light with every move.
Next, examine the pearl's surface. Note any disfiguring spots, bumps, dimples or cracks on the "skin," which should be clean and smooth, with few or no obvious imperfections. Granted, a blemish-free pearl is rare. But if your eyes are drawn to flaws now, so will everyone else's once you're wearing it.
Take a look at shape. Pearls run the gamut, from oval and pear-shaped to round, as well as more obscure shapes. Depending on what type of jewelry you're buying, shape can be more or less important. Perfectly round pearls are hard to come by (and their price tag will confirm that!). But for a classic necklace or striking ring, the more uniformly round pearls you can find, the better.
All of these characteristics—plus the size—determine a pearl's cost. The size of a pearl is measured in millimeters, and just one millimeter can increase the price by a whopping 30% to 50%. Surprisingly, a pearl's creamy hue does not usually affect its value, simply because most pearls—with the exception of Tahitian and South Sea—receive color-enhancing treatments before they're sold.
Translation - Chinese
