I have been working in the translation industry since 1987, covering multiples roles, such as owner of a company, project manager, translator, reviewer, localization specialist.
In my career I have translated a wide range of technical manuals, user's manuals, marketing and commercial documents (brochures, catalogues, company newsletters, etc.), press releases, product guides, presentations, web sites, etc., working both for direct clients and translation companies worldwide.
I specialize in the industrial automation (motion & process control, sensors, PLC programming, operator interfaces, industrial computers, I/O products, motor management, drives, etc.) computer hardware/software, electronics, networking, test equipment, social studies, marketing and sports fields.
I have a Degree in Foreign Languages from the University of Palermo (Italy) and I specialized in Applied Linguistics at the University of Pisa, Italy.
I have started my career as a translator working for the University of Palermo and translating English and Spanish literature-related articles for the Istituto di Letteratura Anglo-Americana.
In 1988 I started my own business and created a translation agency. I established working relationships with private companies and public institutions, both in Italy and abroad, and with other Italian translation companies.
In 1997, I decided to accept an offer to work abroad for The Corporate Word (later Language Management International and then Berlitz GlobalNet), and moved to Pittsburgh, USA, as in-house technical translator and Italian linguist.
From 1998 to 1999 I have been working as in-house technical translator for Allen-Bradley in Cleveland, USA, and in 1999 I joined Rockwell Automation, a world leader industrial automation company, as Localization Specialist. In 2009 I have been appointed Translation Manager EMEA, which is my current position.
I have been a member AITI Italian Translators and Interpreters Association (AITI), and also served as member of regional commettee of Tuscany.
