New Heat Exchanger Tube Revolutionizes the Area of Construction of Coolers
On the 1st of October, 2011, the “XX” of “YY” Limited will be unveiled. This new type of heat exchanger tube for the automotive industry combines a high degree of prefabrication with excellent heat transfer properties, thus enabling new cooler designs and manufacturing processes. YY Limited began to implement the idea with external support from the ZZ Limited.
Usually, the installation space available in a motor vehicle, e.g. for an intercooler, is limited. Thus, the pipes available on the market and internal fit-ins are used to attain the required heat transfer potential but only at the expense of a drop in pressure. This drop in pressure is often induced by increased friction. In this regard, the “XX” presents new possibilities for the design of coolers.
With the innovative roll moulding process developed by YY, the casing and internal fit-ins is now simultaneously and continuously manufactured and joined together to form a finned flat tube - the XX. Pipe cross-sections, fins-surfaced structures as well as the overall design of the cooler can, therefore, be ideally customized according to the intended purpose.
This way, the balance between pressure loss and heat output is more purposely controlled. In addition to this, the respective internal fit-ins no longer have to be manufactured or bought separately, stored, assembled and installed, significantly reducing the entire process chain.

Background and Objectives
Due to the experiences from the finance and banking crisis, political policy makers have issued regulatory requirements for the remuneration structure in banking institutions.
The Remuneration Ordinance for Institutions (Institutes VergV), which was enacted on 13.10.2010, is currently the core of the supervisory requirements for the remuneration systems of banking institutions. This ordinance corresponds to a large extent materially to the circular 22/2009, by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) in December 2009, which was rescinded with the coming into force of the ordinance.
Fundamentally affected are all banking institutions which are subject to banking supervision in accordance with section 1 paragraph 1b and section 53 paragraph 1 of the Banking Act.
The Remuneration Ordinance for Institutions regulates the application requirements as well as the requirements for the remuneration structure for the senior management and employees in these institutions.
The Remuneration Ordinance for Institutions distinguishes in its requirements different categories of institutions. While the general requirements are applicable to all institutions, only the so-called “major institutions” are subject to the particularly stringent requirements of sections 5, 6 and 8 of the Remuneration Ordinance for Institutions:
• Provided that the size of the institution in terms of its total assets on average over the last three years exceeds 10 billion Euros, then the institution is considered as major
• If the aggregate assets value is less than 40 billion, the application of particular requirements can be averted through a relevant risk analysis. This risk analysis shall particularly take into account the size of the institution, remuneration structure, nature, scope, complexity, risk level and international extent of the described business activities. The analysis should be documented in writing and must be plausible, all-encompassing and comprehensible by third parties.
• From a total assets worth of 40 billion Euros and above, there is the presumption that the institution is always major
Institut handelt.
