Source text - English Treatment Period 1 started on a Monday, and subjects were randomised to one of four treatment sequence groups (ABB, BAA, ABA or BAB) where A and B represent the two treatment dentifrice products: test dentifrice (SnF2) or comparison dentifrice (AmF/SnF2) which were both supplied in white unbranded packaging to ensure blinding. Randomisation allocation table was automatically generated by software designed for the purpose and approved by the statistician in advance of the first period with each subject’s individual code randomly assigned to a sequence in the table. Subjects were instructed to brush as normal twice a day using a wide ribbon of the supplied toothpaste along the XXXXXXX manual toothbrush provided. Subjects were required to brush the inner (lingual) surfaces of their teeth, for brushings on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings of each week. There were no instructions on brushing length (i.e. ad lib). The reason for lingual only brushing was to allow for any the effects of the dentifrice to be experienced without disturbing plaque growth over a 24-hour period on the outer, facial, surfaces that were to be assessed for plaque levels. Subjects were also instructed that evening brushing should be no later than 11 pm and that there should be no food or drink (except water) afterwards. Plaque was evaluated by DPIA on Days 15, 16 and 17 (Tuesday to Thursday). This gave the subjects time to acclimatise to their treatment products. Subjects were instructed not to brush, eat or drink (except water) on assessment mornings, and were required to attend for clinic imaging appointments on these mornings without brushing their teeth beforehand. Subjects disclosed their pre-brushing plaque by first rinsing the mouth for 10 seconds with 25 ml of phosphate buffer (pH 6.0), then rinsing the mouth for 1-minute with 5 ml of disclosing dye (fluorescein diacetate solution, made fresh every day), followed by rinsing the mouth three times for 10 seconds each with 25 ml of phosphate buffer. Then, between 30 seconds and 1 minute after the final buffer rinse, DPIA was conducted to assess the A.M. pre-brushing disclosed plaque on the 12 anterior facial tooth surfaces. Using their assigned treatment dentifrice (A or B) and an XXXXXX manual toothbrush, subjects then brushed their full mouth for 40 seconds, self-timed. Subjects then re-disclosed their plaque with dye solution and this was followed by DPIA to assess the A.M. post-brushing disclosed plaque. Subjects were then free to conduct their usual activities until their return to the clinic in the afternoon (between 1.30 and 3.30 P.M.) when they disclosed their plaque as before, and had a further (P.M.) DPIA assessment. So as not to interfere with the DPIA assessment process, subjects were instructed that no food or drink was to be consumed during the 30 minutes immediately before the afternoon assessment.
A four-day washout phase, during which subjects returned to using the standard NaF dentifrice and XXXXXX manual toothbrush, separated the evening of Day 17 of Period 1 and the start of the second 17-day period (Period 2) the following Monday, and likewise between Periods 2 and 3. The methods for Periods 2 and 3 were the same as those for Period 1 except that the subject used the assigned treatment product (A or B) according to their assigned treatment sequence. At the end of the study, subjects had a final soft tissue examination.

Randomizasyon ataması, birinci periyottan başlayarak her bireyin kod numarasının tabloya rasgele atanarak dizilmesi amacıyla tasarlanmış bir yazılım tarafından bir istatistikçinin onayı doğrultusunda yapıldı. Bireylere, XXXXXX manüel diş fırçasına geniş bir şerit tedarik edilmiş diş macununu sıkarak normal biçimde günde iki kere diş fırçalamaları yönünde talimat verildi. Sadece lingual bölgelerin fırçalanmasının nedeni, hesaplanan plak seviyelerinde 24 saatlik bir periyotta dış, yüzsel yüzeylerde plak büyümesini engellemeden diş macunun gösterdiği etkileri görebilmek içindir. Bireylere akşam fırçalamalarının saat 23'den daha geç olmaması ve fırçalamanın ardından su dışında yiyecek ve içecek tüketmemeleri talimatı verildi. Plak ölçümü 15., 16. ve 17. Günlerde (Salıdan Perşembeye) DPIA tarafından ölçüldü. Bireylere ölçüm sabahlarında dişlerini fırçalamamaları, yemek yememeleri ve su haricinde bir şey içmemeleri talimatı verildi, ayrıca önceden klinik görüntüleme randevularına dişlerini fırçalamadan gitmeleri istendi. Bireyler fırçalama öncesi plaklarını ağızlarını önce 10 saniyeliğine 25 ml fosfat buffer (pH 6.0) ile, ardından ağızlarını 1 dakikalığına 5 ml gösterme boyası ile (floresin diasetat solüsyon, her gün taze yapılan), ve ardından 3 kere fosfat buffer ile 25 saniyeliğine çalkalayarak açığa çıkardılar. Son buffer yıkamasından sonraki 30. saniye ile ilk dakikanın arasında, 12 ön yüzeyde sabah fırçalama öncesi açığa çıkarılmış plak DPIA yürütüldü. Ardından atanmış diş macunlarını (A veya B) ile bir XXXXXX manüel diş fırçasını kullanarak bireyler 40 saniyeliğine bütün ağızlarını fırçaladılar. Bireyler ardından boya solüsyonu yardımıyla plaklarını tekrar açığa çıkardılar ve ardından sabah fırçalama sonrası DPIA ölçümü yapıldı. Bunun ardından bireyler öğleden sonra (13:30 ve 15:30 arası) tekrar plaklarını açığa çıkarmak ve öğleden sonra DPIA ölçümü yapılması için geri dönmek üzere günlük aktivitelerini yapmak için serbest kaldılar. DPIA hesaplama sürecine müdahale etmesin diye, bireylere öğleden sonrası ölçümlerine gelmeden önceki 30 dakikada yeme-içme yapmamaları talimatı verildi.
Birinci Periyodun 17. Gün akşamından başlayarak ile (17 günlük) İkinci Periyodun ilk günü arasına, bireylerin standart NaF içerikli diş macunları ile birlikte XXXXXX manüel diş fırçası kullandıkları 4 günlük arınma dönemi konuldu, aynı şekilde İkinci ve Üçüncü Periyotların arasına da bir arınma dönemi konuldu. İkinci ve Üçüncü Periyotlar, bireyin atanmış tedavi sekansına uyumlu olarak atanan tedavi ürününü (A veya B) kullanması dışında, Birinci Periyotun aynısıdırlar. Çalışmanın sonunda, bireyler son bir yumuşak doku muayenesine tabi tutuldular.

I am a native Turkish translator specialising in Medical fields such as Dentistry, Instruments and Pharmaceuticals. In the 3 years of professional experience, I provided medical translations to major international companies that manufactures and/or promotes medical devices, dental instruments and oral care products.
I professionally use SDL Trados and other CAT Tools, I can undertake any assigned project comfortably.
I started using English as a language in my early stages of my life because I have English speaking family relatives. Which gives me not only a native-like English, but also its culture and innate music of the language. I also have to say that I hear and quite like the music of medical texts.
The Classics education I took in university gave me the necessary linguistic skills, cultural knowledge and mental abilities to produce top quality translations in Art/Literary, Social Sciences. I also am a Musician for 11 years and I am currently writing a short story book in English.
I always want to produce translations that is natural, clear and reader friendly even in the most technical projects. When translating I always watch for what text means and the facts it contains. Then translate them by using the dynamics of the Target Language as creatively and musically where applicable.
