English to Hungarian: La Leche League GB’s response to the article reported in the British Medical Journal, January2011, questioning the recommendation to introduce solid food to babies at 6 months - 19.01.2011 General field: Social Sciences Detailed field: Medical (general)
Source text - English ...
When WHO recommended this policy it was based on a systematic review of 3,000 studies on infant feeding. The article the British Medical Journal published, on 14 January 2011, suggesting that babies need solids earlier than six months of age, is not a new research study or a systematic review of all available evidence. Three of the four authors of this research have declared an association with the baby feeding industry.

There is clear scientific evidence that breastfeeding protects both the short and long term health of mothers and babies. It reduces the risk of infections such as gastroenteritis and respiratory, ear and urinary tract infections, particularly infections requiring hospitalisation, even in developed countries such as the UK. The risk of diabetes and obesity in children and cancer in mothers is lessened and it reduces the risk of postnatal depression and neglect. With the current risk of swine flu, exclusive breastfeeding reduces the risk of the baby catching secondary infections, which could be serious enough to need hospital admission.

English to Hungarian: Dust explosion protection measures General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: Automation & Robotics
Source text - English Dust explosion protection measures
The complete plant is protected against dust explosions by means of an explosion pressure relief system (burst panels) in combination with appropriate decoupling measures. The granulator is designed for a Kst-value of 200 bar/sec. The granulator is pressure surge resistant. The granulator is calculated and constructed in accordance with the regulations of the AD rules and regulations. The safety factor for pressure surge resistance is reduced to a factor of 1.0 acc. to the VDI Guideline 3671.
Translation - Hungarian Por robbanás elleni védelmi intézkedések
A teljes üzem/telep porrobbanás elleni védelmét robbanási nyomást csökkentő rendszer (hasadótárcsák, hasadópanelek) és megfelelő csatolásmentesítő intézkedések kombinációja biztosítja.
A granulátort 200 bar m/sec-os Kst értékre tervezték. A granulátor nyomás-feszültség biztos. A nyomásfeszültség-védelmi biztonsági tényezőt a 3671-es VDI Irányelvnek megfelelően 1,0-ra csökkentették.

Experience
Years of experience: 18. Registered at ProZ.com: Jul 2012.
Translation is part of my life for quite a few years now. As until the very day my entrepreneurship started I had dealt with a variety of activities, my translation experience is supported by several different aspects of my carrier:
- as someone with a PhD in Economics, I know what research is: I thoroughly dig myself into the topic of the ongoing translation project, with careful vocabulary and enthusiasm;
- as a volunteer in another field of my life, I'm willing to go the extra mile;
- as a counsellor, I communicate readily and with ease: getting and keeping in touch and discussing the project appropriately are high priority;
- as a mother, I know how important flexibility is: it's second skin.
Focus:
Economics: regional science and SME development, clusters, economic theory, marketing and business, including business correspondence.

- mivel doktori fokozatot szereztem, kutató vagyok ... a fordítás során is, vagyis gondosan utánajárok, utánaolvasok a témának, pontos szóhasználattal és - ha arról van szó - egy új téma, terület megismeréséhez méltó lelkesedéssel;
- mivel az élet egy másik területén önkénteskedem, tudom, mennyit ad az, amikor nemcsak annyit teszünk meg, amennyit kötelező és feltétlenül szükséges;
- mivel tanácsadói tapasztalatom van, tisztában vagyok vele, mennyire fontos a kommunikáció egy-egy projekt során - tudatos vagyok ezen a téren és fejlesztem magam;
- mivel anya vagyok, nem tudom alábecsülni a rugalmasság jelentőségét: évek óta csiszolt, rugalmas hozzáállásom egy-egy fordítási projekt kapcsán is hasznos tud lenni.
Fordítói fókusz:
Gazdaság: elméleti közgazdaságtan, regionális gazdaságtan, vállalkozásfejlesztés, marketing, üzleti levelezés.
