For as long as I can remember, I have always been passionate about foreign languages and culture, and as such, translation pretty much made sense without even thinking about it. It allows me to combine this passion and a great sense of curiosity as I love to learn everything about anything even if, granted, some areas are more attractive to me than others!
I pursued studies in translation and intercultural communication and ended up graduating from different Master's, one of them being among Europe's best-ranking degrees. However, studying is not enough and I had the opportunity to translate for some of the world's biggest corporations such as Natixis, MasterCard, RedBull, EDF, Bausch + Lomb, Apple, etc. as well as for smaller institutions and companies.
In the course of my academic career, I specialized in legal and financial translation. I then joined Natixis SA and later on, Ashurst LLP, where I deepened my expertise in these areas. Today, I mostly translate related texts such as facility agreements, memoranda, term sheets, conciliation protocols, terms and conditions, compliance procedures, etc.
In addition to my knowledge in languages and translation, I am also well-educated in IT systems and, as such, know my way pretty well around CAT tools (SDL Studio and Wordfast in particular) and editing software (Dreamweaver, CMS Joomla, Flash, XML and HTML languages). I am proficient in Windows and Mac OS X systems so working in either one of them is not an issue.
As of 2013, I started freelancing and have been working so far with very different types of clients.
