I specialize in the fine arts as well as general and literary non-fiction.
I have a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Francisco State University (2001). I am also enrolled in the Certificate Program in Translation at U.C. Berkeley Extension, which I will finish Spring 2003. I have been able to translate materials on fine art and literary non-fiction quite easily in the program (about 400 words/hour).
My rate is 10-11 cents per word.
As far as accomplishments go, I published an article in Spanish on Aztec poetry in a local magazine, Tiempo Latino (March 31-April 14, 2000 issue). I have traveled through Mexico, Costa Rica, and Spain and served as a volunteer in the National Park Service of Costa Rica (1996). I will also receive a minor in art, have traveled widely to major museums in Europe and New York City, and am an active and involved member of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
