But let’s talk about the present. I’m no fossil — I’ve kept pace with the ever‑evolving world of language and communication. A few years ago I completed a Master’s degree in Translation Studies at the University of Tartu in Estonia 🎓, and I continue to update my toolkit to meet today’s demands.

To me, translation isn’t just swapping words like puzzle pieces. It’s an art built on three essentials: empathy, expertise, and experience. I immerse myself in the author’s intent, attend to cultural nuance and unspoken context, and preserve the subtle shades of meaning so the message resonates in the target language.

That’s why a seasoned supervisor matters for they bring their deep linguistic expertise and decades of practice to search for terms and contexts to postedit outputs by spotting cultural or factual errors, smoothing style, enforcing terminology, and ensuring the final result truly reflects the text’s intent and purpose.
