Bio
After more than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, scientific research, engineering, and education, in France, America, and China, I became a full-time translator in November 2017.

I was born in France and lived there the first 30 years of my life. However, after working for six months in the United States and two years in China in an American company, I have become perfectly bilingual, to the point that native speakers often take me for one of their own.

My two years as an engineer at Peugeot PSA in Paris allowed me to build a strong background in automotive engineering. Working at the quality department, I was dealing with all other departments on a daily basis (gasoline engine, diesel engine, vehicle, electronics, etc.)

During my two experiences at the University of Texas at Austin, I have been fortunate to work with brilliant scientists from all around the world. As part of my work in cosmology and particle physics, I often had to conduct advanced terminology research: I am used to reading scientific and technical literature in several languages.

During my two years in China, I taught mathematics, physics, and general science, all in English. This experience was a tremendous linguistic challenge: not only did I have to teach in English what I had learned French, but I was also the referent in scientific and technical vocabulary in the whole school. As none of my students were native speakers of English, I often had to answer very specific questions on vocabulary. I developed very effective methods of linguistic research. I still use them today, as do my former students.

My new career has already brought me a lot of joy and satisfaction as it combines my passions for science and engineering on the one hand and languages on the other hand. My customers have been very happy with my work and my competitive rates. References are available upon request.
