-General or technical contentElizabeth is an American born Chinese. She received her primary education in Taiwan and secondary and college education in the United States. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1976 with a major in Chinese Studies.

Elizabeth been an interpreter and translator since 1972. She has acted as an interpreter for U.S. State Department and many high level official Chinese delegations. She has negotiated for American companies doing business in China. She has interpreted for lecturers and has written and delivered speeches for Chinese audiences.

E. Tu Associates, Inc. is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce and World Trade Association. Elizabeth has been chairman of Cincinnati's Chinese Sister City Committee since 1989. She is also an active member of the American Translators Associaton. At the 42nd ATA Conference, Elizabeth was elected by acclaimation as asst. adm. of the Interpreters Division of ATA.

Elizabeth has given seminars related to China and Far East trade in Cincinnati, and has been a guest panel in China or Far East trade seminars held in Dayton, Northern Kentucky, Boston, and New York. She has also been a regular seminar presenter at the ATA conference since 1998 on subjects related to translation and interpreting for the Chinese Language Division.
