Occupational Background: Trained & worked as a radiographer, eventually specialising in computer-aided treatment planning for cancer. I left hospital work to develop my interests in computing. For many years I ran my own business in the UK providing analysis and data processing for the market research industry, with a focus on pharmaceuticals. I have lived in Greece for nearly 15 years, during which time I have worked for a major market research company (in Athens) and established myself as a freelance translator. I have translated a great variety of texts from Greek into English (my mother tongue), including two books on wayside shrines (pροsκυνηtάριa), a book on local (Cretan) history, medical and other scientific papers, tourist and product information, advertising material plus contracts and other official documents.
