The hallowed and very, very, super-duper important American holiday known as National Lipstick Day falls on July 29 — unless you're an Allure editor, in which case pretty much every day is National Lipstick Day. This year, however, everyone gets to celebrate National Lipstick Day for more than one day, thanks to the awesome way M.A.C. is honoring the occasion.
From Saturday, July 27, through Monday, July 29, M.A.C. stores across the U.S. are giving away a free, full-size lipstick with any $25 purchase. You'll have the opportunity to choose your celebratory lipstick from eight different colors, including CB96, a bright, frosty, pinky-orange that the brand considers its first "backstage creation." Furthermore, if you spend $50, you'll receive the greatest lipstick you'll never apply, M.A.C.'s famous Lipstick Canister, a container shaped like the brand's iconic Lipstick — perfect for holding your collection of exactly that.
While you're there, whether or not you make a purchase, "M.A.C. stores will be celebrating artistry of the lip and inviting customers to a complimentary lip demo to discover all-new lip looks with over 350 shades in every texture, from ultra-matte to high shine," the brand says in a press release.
