Bio

I am a German native speaker, and finished my master's in Translation, Interpreting and Subtitling in September 2019. I am working as a freelance translator at the moment.

From April to July 2019, I was completing an internship at the translation company TTC wetranslate in Chelmsford, UK.

In 2018, I finished my undergraduate in European Culture and History of ideas at the University of Karlsruhe (KIT) with a first class degree (1,6). My dissertation about the female staff of the former mental asylum "Illenau" in Achern got published in "Die Ortenau - Zeitschrift des Historischen Vereins" in October 2018.

The reason why I chose to become a translator after my history degree was that I always liked to translate, especially after my exchange year in the USA.

During my studies, I have gained experience in many different fields. My specialisms are technical and historical, however I am more than happy to work with a variety of subjects. I also have worked with WinCaps to subtitle a variety of audiovisual products.
