As a dedicated professional with almost 30 years’ experience, I am committed to crafting meticulously researched, accurate and natural-sounding translations from German into my native English, and have a reputation among my clients for consistency, clarity and reliability. Modern Languages from Aston University, I realised that my true passion lay in translation and gained an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Surrey. I worked as an in-house translator for a translation company in Düsseldorf until 1991, when I took the step of becoming self-employed. I have been working full-time as a freelance translator ever since. Building on my keen interest in environmental issues (the subject of my Master’s dissertation), I now specialise in environmental technology and legislation, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, conservation, ecotourism, human resources, training and industrial relations, translating from German into English. I work directly with a number of multinational corporations and government agencies, and have an extensive knowledge of environment-related EU directives and employment law. My clear, concise use of English and in-depth background knowledge and experience enable me to produce natural-sounding translations that your target audience will enjoy reading, while delivering your message effectively. |
