Chinese to English: A brand advertising to China ’s youth market General field: Marketing Detailed field: Advertising / Public Relations
Translation - English China ’s youth market has witnessed tremendous changes. According to surveys, China ’s post-60s and post-70s generations have a strong preference for the label of overseas imports, while post-90s and post-00s generations favor the integration of Chinese and global cultures, such as Hanfu and Guoman, if you know them. (Hanfu is a traditional Chinese traditional costume, a bit like cosplay; Guoman refers to China’s original comics, and the animated film such as Nezha which has taken 5 billion yuan at the box office, exceeding the Avengers.IV). China ’s consumption culture has changed out of all recognition. If companies fail to adapt to the developments, they would be phased out of the market, possibly 5 years later. This forecast is already apparent from this year's consumer goods market trend. In 2019, a large number of fake overseas brands suffered a cliff-like flop. The brands that originally used the bonus of Korean film and television productions encountered an unprecedented crisis. All marketing methods have changed, manifested by the increasingly decreased efficiency of advertising. Because the original marketing methods cannot reach the target consumers, the emerging brands represented by the "XY brand" have just seized this opportunity. Through a series of brand-new marketing strategies, it has surfaced to customers.
English to Chinese: Building a website General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: Computers: Software
Source text - English In one of the computer practice classes during my undergraduate study, our course task is to design a static website with 15-20 pages. Building such a website entails substantial picture materials. Guided by my teacher, I learned how to use PS(Photoshop) software to edit and retouch pictures. For instance, change the size, tone, format, etc. of the original image, transform the realistic photo into the style of illustration or comics; integrate different materials to create new pictures. In order to prominently present the highlights of the website, I interspersed some short animations on my website by leveraging AE software. We learned to produce simple dynamic effects with AE (After Effect) software in class. Most importantly, through this course, I learned to use DW (dream weaver) software for web design and building.
