Hofmann gibt gegen Pasching Comeback
105 Tage nach der folgenschweren Verletzung im Auswärtsmatch gegen Ried steht Steffen Hofmann (Bild) vor seinem Comeback beim österreichischen Fußball-Rekordmeister Rapid. Der Deutsche hat seinen Innen-Seitenband-Riss im linken Knie überwunden und dürfte heute (18.30 Uhr) im Hanappi-Stadion gegen Pasching zumindest für einige Minuten zum Einsatz kommen.
„Ich habe dem Trainer gesagt, dass ich fit bin. Mit der medizinischen Abteilung habe ich gesprochen, auch von dieser Seite gibt es keine Bedenken", erklärte der Mittelfeldspieler, der im Juli zur Freude des grün-weißen Anhangs von 1860 München „heimgeholt" worden war, sich jedoch gleich in seinem ersten Auftritt für Rapid verletzte. Angst, dass auch sein zweites Comeback wie das erste enden könnte, hat Hofmann aber nicht.

“I’ve informed the coach that I’m fit enough to play. I’ve spoken with the club’s medical team, and they have no concerns about me playing,” explained the midfielder, who was glad to have been “brought back home” from the Green and Whites of 1860 Munich, before immediately injuring himself on his first outing for Rapid. However, Hofmann is not worried that his second comeback will end as the first one did.
