My areas of
specialization include language and linguistics, sports, nature and outdoor
life, forestry, travel and geography, cat breeding and cat shows, as well as
arts and crafts such as silver- and goldsmithing and jewellery design. I also
undertake general medical and legal texts. As part of my degree, I translated
two sports medicine articles commissioned by the Swedish Biathlon
Federation. I also took a course in
legal studies. Several of
these specialist areas are grounded in personal experience. As the owner of a
forest property and with long-standing experience in silver- and goldsmithing,
I have practical insight into technical and craft-related terminology.
Extensive travel across all continents has also given me strong intercultural
awareness — an essential asset in translation. I am also the owner of several
Bengal cats with long-standing experience in cat shows and insight into
breeding, giving me deep insight into both practical and technical aspects of
feline care and terminology. My life
experience across Sweden — from Stockholm’s urban environment and archipelago to
the countryside of Närke, the city of Örebro, the wilderness of Lapland, and my
roots in the High Coast region of Örnsköldsvik — gives me a deep understanding
of the Swedish culture, geography, and society. |
