Source text - English People’s power hence acts as a “countervailing power exercised against exploitative systems” (Fals Borda, 1987:331). The emphasis on action differentiates PAR from other forms of participatory research such as Touraine’s (1988) intervention sociologique. It shares with these research methods the view that the outsider/researcher is crucial in setting off and guiding processes of self-reflection of the subordinate, suppressed groups or social movements, and of providing contexts that go beyond the immediately visible implications for any one group: “Catalytic external agents play a crucial role in linking up the local dimension to regional and, at a later stage, to the national and the international levels” (Fals Borda, 1987:334). An objection can be raised to this claim of the outsider/researcher setting off processes of self-reflection in the subordinate, in that it seems to imply that the subordinate cannot make their own connections and reflections, and that the role of the researcher is one close to an intellectual vanguard. There is a danger that PAR gives a priority to the role of the researcher by denying the self-reflective capacities of the people. However, rather than rejecting the researcher’s possible contribution in these self-reflective processes altogether, we should stress his/her potentially, although not necessarily, positive impact by adding a dynamic and giving some kind of orientation to these processes. Comparte con estos métodos de investigación métodos la opinión de que el de fuera/el investigador es crucial en la activación y orientación de procesos de auto reflexión en grupos o movimientos sociales subordinados, suprimidos, y para ofrecer contextos que vayan más de allá de las implicaciones inmediatamente visibles para cualquier grupo: «Los agentes catalizadores externos cumplen un rol crucial en el enlazamiento de la dimensión local con la regional y, en etapas posteriores, con los ámbitos nacionales e internacionales» (Fals Borda, 1987: 334). Puede plantearse una objeción a esta afirmación de que el de fuera/investigador active procesos de auto reflexión en los subordinados, en cuanto parece implicar que los subordinados no pueden hacer sus propias conexiones y reflexiones, y que el rol del investigador es el de alguien cercano a una vanguardia intelectual. Existe un peligro de que la IAP dé prioridad al rol del investigador negando las capacidades de auto reflexión de las personas. Sin embargo, antes que rechazar de plano la posible contribución del investigador en estos procesos de auto reflexión, debemos hacer énfasis en su impacto potencial, aunque no necesariamente, positivo al añadir una dinámica y dar cierto tipo de orientación a estos procesos.

Some training in Editing & proofreading, plus 10 years working for the editorial industry allowed me to improve my performance with the Spanish language.
5 years writing and translating for trade and technical magazines on the industries of paper & board/packaging, coatings manufacturing, air-conditioning/refrigeration, electronic security, tourism/travel and hospitality have given me a good knowledge on these areas.
Specialization studies in translation on human and literary sciences allowed me to gain a deep insight in what has always been a field of interest. My translation on the ethnography/geopolitics fields, presented for to receive my postgraduate degree, was given a special mention by reviewers.
Also the last three years working intensely with Economics/Financial texts on proofreading/translation into Spanish and into English have allowed me to study and gain expertise on this field.
