Bio

I’m a writer, editor, and Arabic-to-English translator with a master’s degree in Arab Studies from Georgetown University. I completed the Center for Arabic Study Abroad’s intensive Arabic fellowship in Cairo, Egypt.

My professional experience spans writing, editing, education, and healthcare. I’ve served as assistant editor of the Journal of Palestine Studies and managing editor of a Substack publication with over 14,000 subscribers. I’ve taught at two colleges of Traditional Chinese Medicine and served as Dean of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific Rim College.

I’m a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and licensed acupuncturist. I currently write, edit, and publish PERFECT HUNGER, an independent publication exploring health, nourishment, and living well through the lens of Chinese Medicine. I’m a dual US–Canadian citizen with extensive international experience.
