After graduating in modern languages, I worked for a while as a part-time general translator. In the meanwhile, I specialized in communication for cultural events and I had the chance of working at some of them - film festivals in particular. It was in that period that I started working as an audiovisual translator as well. I liked it so much that I decided to specialize in it, of course keeping on considering other translation fields - but preferring the creative ones anyway - and the jobs I used to have before.
I became a full-time professional in 2008.
Up to now, I have translated the subtitles of more than 20 movies for festivals and DVDs, several documentaries and programs for a TV channel, two movie scripts and director's notes for a film company, and many web contents.
I have translated a couple of books as well.
My areas of interest are: history, archaeology, environmental issues, philosophy, religion, social sciences, tourism, esotericism and spirituality, thriller/fantasy science fiction, mystery, cultures, cinema, arts, theatre, poetry, cook, linguistics, literature.
