Tim Bayton was born and brought up in the south-west of England. He graduated from Aston University
in 2002 with 1st Class honours in French and German with Translation
Studies. Having wanted to work in the field of translation and
interpreting since his first encounters outside the English-speaking
world, Tim immediately followed his time at university by establishing
himself as an independent translator and interpreter. Starting with
several contacts made during his year abroad in 2000-2001 and armed with
great vision and enthusiasm, Tim expanded his client base to include
individual clients, translation agencies and international companies. He
now works with a broad range of clients all over Europe, who appreciate
his reliability and the accuracy of his work.

In addition to his work as a translator and interpreter, Tim
pursues a number of hobbies and plays the euphonium with a brass quartet
in Exeter. Tim is also a keen bell ringer and currently holds the role
of Education Officer for the Guild of Devonshire Ringers. Furthermore, he is actively involved with St James’ Church in Exeter, for which he edits the triannual magazine: Contact.
