My parents are Brazilian and I lived roughly half my life in the U.S and half in Brazil, so I am a native speaker of both English and Portuguese.
After graduating at U.C. Berkeley in English Literature, I moved to Brasilia, where I have worked over the last ten years for a wide range of Brazilian government ministries and foreign agencies, such as the World Bank, Department for International Development (U.K.), UNDP, U.S Embassy, as both translator and interpreter. I have also worked as a simultaneous translator at scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops in a wide range of fields throughout Brazil.
For normal written translations, I charge approximately 15 dollars per 1000 characters (without spaces) of translated text.
I am also fluent in French, Spanish, and Italian, and have done two-way simultaneous translations in French-Portuguese-, Spanish-Portuguese, and Spanish-English.
