I am an English-Polish (Polish-English) freelancer, have been since 1999. Back then a friend of mine, an American expat living in Poland, talked me into starting a translation partnership - and that was an immaculate decision.
As a translator I spend most of the day in a cosy office for which I chose a decent-sized room downstairs of my house - music plays non-stop there, and most of it comes from the exuberant Jamendo - actually I am chilling out to an album from there as I write this :). During short albeit necessary breaks from translations I place short reviews there (as the user dapro). I also participate, moderately, in a Ford Mondeo association/forum - I have owned a Mondeo since 2002, and many a time found good suggestions there.
Off work I nurture family life (wife, two daughters), try to find time to watch a film on my home cinema set, listen to music, preferably loud :), take digital photos, read classic science-fiction (Niven, Heinlein, Dickson) and web sites dedicated to mobile phones, digital cameras, cars (yes, I do like gadgets), go for rides with my girls, see friends, go for walks - the usual stuff :).
