I am a US-based freelance translator/proofreader/interpreter/QA, localization and MTPE specialist. I possess extensive experience working with global clients. I am highly motivated, energetic and results-oriented. I meet the deadlines and get the job done. Most of my clients become repeat clients!

I have been translating and interpreting from English to Latvian and Latvian to English since 1996. After graduating from Latvia University with a BA in English Language and Literature, I started a teaching career and spent almost 8 years teaching English as a Second Language at universities, language schools and business enterprises. In addition to teaching, I was providing translation and interpreting services to various businesses and private clients. I made a decision to become a freelance translator in 2003, and I have been enjoying the challenge ever since.

My clients include a broad scope of businesses, translation agencies, government, public and private institutions, travel agencies, as well as private persons from around the world. My services are not limited to translation: I also offer proofreading, editing, quality management, subtitling, transcription and interpreting services - I am a certified Over-the-Phone interpreter with LLE-LINK and Telelanguage.

Accuracy, quality and completion of work according to deadlines are my top priorities, and I work my hardest to satisfy the clients` needs. In March 2023, I provided interpreting services during a 5-day long US Open World Leadership Program that took place in Florida. I have also interpreted court deposition cases involving the plaintiff, the defendant and the lawyer.
