Experience
Years of experience: 22. Registered at ProZ.com: Sep 2004. Became a member: Dec 2009.
I am essentially a wordsmith, i.e. a worker with words.
I started my professional life as a telecom engineer (1996) and worked as a Government employee, then as a Private Sector Dy. General Manager (2004), a MBA student in Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow. (2005)
In 2006, my agency Wordsmith Communication was launched. We now handle 98% languages of the world with special focus in pan-Indian languages, have an in-house DTP station and a Freelancer Training and Detoxification centre in the sleepy tea-garden meadows of North East India.
My dialogue with Internet and Social Networking started in 1999 while I launched www.syhlleti.org - First Community integrator website for Sylhetis and Sylheti Language.
In 2008, we launched our Content, DTP and Print on Demand venture : www.pentasect.com
Since 2010, I have been a professional trainer on proz.com focusing on Freelancer Business Development. In short : How to become a successful Li-Der ? [ Life-Designer ]
All these roles finally draw their life breath from words, hence - a wordsmith.
The Essential Wordsmith Objective : I think I should measure the success of my professional life and business growth of Wordsmith Communication by the following parameters :
1. The success our clients achieve
2. The fulfillment our freelance colleagues or Life-Designers find in working with us.
3. The joy we produce while working
EndNote:
I have told this journey in the domain of language business for all wordsmiths of past, present and future here, entitled - Wordsmith Book of Business
